Privacy policy

The short version

This site has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no cookies. Nothing you do here is sold, shared with data brokers, or used to follow you around the internet. The only personal information we hold is what you type into the service request form and send us deliberately.

What the form collects

When you submit a service request, we receive what you entered. Depending on which request type you pick, that can include:

• Your name, company, role, email address and phone number
• The property address and building details — type, size, occupancy, roof access
• Equipment details, the problem, timeline and any notes you add
• How you would prefer to be contacted, and when

Three things are collected automatically alongside your answers, and it is only fair to say so: which page you submitted from, the page that referred you, and your screen size. These help us understand which parts of the site are working. They are not used to identify you.

We use this information to respond to your request, quote the work and carry it out. We do not send marketing email, and there is no mailing list to be added to.

Where the form data goes

Form submissions are handled by Netlify, who host this website, and are stored on their servers in the United States. We can read them; Netlify processes them on our behalf. We also receive them by email.

Third parties that see your IP address

Two services load content into these pages, and both necessarily see your IP address when they do. Neither sets a cookie here.

• Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses.
• Datawrapper serves the service-area map, on the pages that show it.

Netlify also keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser, pages requested — which is how essentially every website works and is needed to serve pages and block abuse.

Cookies, and what we use instead

This site sets no cookies. The service request form does remember your answers if you navigate away mid-way through, using something called session storage. That data stays on your own device, is never sent to us, and is erased when you close the tab. Nothing is stored on your device after that.

How long we keep things

Service requests are kept as long as we need them for the work and for our business records. Enquiries that do not turn into work are not kept indefinitely. If you want yours deleted, ask.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Call 609-714-8280 or email wpalombi@rooftophvac.com and we will sort it out. We are a small commercial contractor, not a data business — there is no process to navigate.

Children

This site sells commercial HVAC services to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
